Jtf208 community, goose had an idea about hosting our own regional event so we don't all have to drop 300+$ on 10 hours of airsofting and also danger of a car breaking down over the 16 hours of driving. THe event could be at swan falls over a large area of it, he eats it to be a solid 24 hour event. That means you could airsoft for the whole 24 hours and fight for points or after a few hours you could chill out, eat dinner and sleep, the game could be 12-12 the next day. Ask all communities if they would like to come join. Rent a few restroom outhouses. And buy a shit ton of meat to feed people, this way it doesn't cost is near as much and we could still have a ton of fun and still keep our money, now what are everyone's thoughts on this? No matter the question big or small please ask and try to critique everything. This is an idea that we could make our tradition and look forward to every year. And we can ALL GO!

No matter the question big or small please ask and try to critique everything. This is an idea that we could make our tradition and look forward to every year. And we can ALL GO! That sounds like a great idea! How about if we do what we normally do every Saturday: Show up for the 1030HRS briefing and then go out to the field. Only this time, after the mission(s) head back to base at 1500HRS for some chow and pal time until, say, 1900HRS. After that, have a night mission or some exercise planned so we can snoop and poop in the dark! Maybe a night march/patrol/hike with full rucksack/loadout, and weapons. Just an idea for exercise/fun. Man, having BBQ after the day missions sounds great! Any security issues/concerns regarding our vehicles at Swan Falls while we're snooping and pooping in the field?

We'll have to find a way to reserve maybe two fields and block it off so we can have a huge playing field. Once one team gets the other team pushed enough a lot of the time it takes about 10 mins to push them back to spawn.
Not really just lock the doors. We can park next to each other for that security.

Well the thing is there is a public road between them and will have to call time outs every time we see a car and also neighbors could complain. Swan falls is completely away from houses and could be really fun if we use both fields like skeletor said

its below the dam and it really good, played paint there had a lot of fun out there. there's camping spots along the road to set up camps it would be a great place for a game 24 hr game where its like a front line type where you need to tack over the others spawn and push your front line foreword

I like the idea. But would this also have the same rules as most regional events? Example- if you are under 18, a parent, or guardian, must be present

If your under 18 your parent just needs to sign a waiver for you, I took my 14 year old brother to an event and he just needed a signature from our dad, as for the game types they are TBD, we were thinking of having it in June when it's nice and warm out. It's hosted by us, joint task force 208, that means everyone has a day in this no matter how new you are. Lets start planning

if its hosted by us then the rules and regulations will be by us and we will apply them accordingly to meet everyones needs. now when we say a regional event that means we have to get into contact with alot of the other communities in idaho and the surrounding states. if all goes really really well we could have well over 150+ players on site. im in contact with a couple teams in eastern idaho. ill go ahead and ask them what they think about it. we just need to figure out a date. id like it to be early spring, not to hot not to cold. if we do early fall, most likely more people get into the holiday mood and dont travel as much. so early spring when schools out and people wanna go do stuff would be the best bet.. also if this event hapens and a bunch of people come. there will need to be game control/manager. and that could take at least a few guys to run this event. this sounds like a great idea and would be lots of fun. hope we can plan sumthin out..

Awesome thanks Birdman definitely get in contact with other teams, I vote it should be in June like the 15 th, everyone will be out of high school and college, and it's only a week after the get out and don't think people will be on vacation, temperature will be warm and at night will still be cool but not cold. But everyone should put on the forum what date they want and why and then as a community choose a date

I think this sounds like a great idea. I probably wont be there if you guys do it in the summer but I think it is a much better idea than spending a bunch of money on traveling expenses.

I agree with bb about June 15th. Or atleast sometime in mid June sounds good too. And waivers are good with me. This sounds like a great idea and I'd be totally up to it.

im up for anything as it stands with me i haven't missed a game yet and i'm not going to start now but one cool idea would be if we have 2 areas have tac and other stay in one camping spot and have the other teams stay in another but that way we can have more of a relistic feel but still hang out just my opinion

Since we have discussed, time, location, teams, name, admission and most broad detail of the event, shall we start discussing more pressing matters such as game types, and props, tent/base location on the field, boundary limits? I will post a link for a picture of the entire field shortly

I was at the meeting (I came in late) so I've heard all of the ideas. I might have a few more ideas to bring up when I come out next, if you don't mind. But a picture would be awesome.
