I've been looking at this pistol for awhile now. Everything seems fine to me, I just want to see if it's good or not from your guys point of view. It's a WE 1911 pistol. Gas, blowback. Here's the link. www.evike.com/products/30127/Is this pistol any good?

As someone who owns a WE 1911, get this instead. www.evike.com/products/37722/OR this if you like the tactical look. www.evike.com/products/40446/This thing is a TANK! The MOST durable, reliable, handgun I have EVER owned. EVER. If you don't believe me, Wire owned one, Walrus owns one, And you can mess around with mine next I see you if you want to, just to prove how beefy this thing is. Mine was dropped into a lake, I fished it out and continued using it. No problems.

My only problem is that it's CO2. I know it's cheaper than gas but apparently gas last a lot longer in clips. Plus I can't spend a whole lot right now.

Green gas is less than ideal for where we live. They never work right at any temp under 50* and the clips are outrageously expensive. Also, I think co2'lasts longer than green gas. I refill my green gas every time I reload a clip, my co2 will charge 3-4 before it runs out.

Oh really? Wow, Curtis told me all wrong. I guess I'll go shopping for some CO2 pistols. I really like the CO2 1911 all black that was posted earlier but that's a little more expensive then I can afford right now and more than I want to spend seeing the position I'm in right now.

I found this, something about it seems seriously screwed up about it. It's way too good of a deal, and I don't think it's usual for a pistol to get to 400 FPS. Just thought I'd check just in case if its all true. www.evike.com/products/43328/

Yup. I got my revolver there. $60(?) and it's my favorite pistol.
Here's the deal: don't skimp on this stuff. You won't be happy with it. Save up your money and work with what you got until you can afford something at a price point that will make a real difference.
I've often regretted spending too little on gear (for any sport), but I've never regretted waiting and spending more than I thought I could afford.

C02 is infinitely better than green gas. It lasts muuuuch longer than green gas, and can be used in much colder temperatures.

I think I'll save up for the $99 one then. And thank you guys for your help! From what I see I was about to make the worst choice of purchase of airsoft gear I could have ever done. So is CO2 affected by hotter temperatures?

So I may be a little late to the conversation but as someone who owns both a C02 and a Green Gas pistol both have their pluses...I have the KWA MK23, which is one of the hardest firing green gas pistols on the market. It is big and heavy, but I love it and the recoil is fantastic. On the other hand I have a Dan Wesson Series revolver by ASG, one of the hardest firing C02 guns on the market. The revolver has no recoil, but it performs just as well in the winter as it does in the summer. I can't say the same about the MK23, which does much better in warm weather. I like having one of each, but you should take a look at what type of pistol you want and then consider green gas or C02. It seems like you want a 1911, which is good because there are a lot of options. The best part is that you can find C02 1911s with blowback, and have the best of both worlds.

I think I'm going to prefer CO2 just because I would be able to use it in the Summer. Plus it's cheaper and it last longer. The clips done seem to be very expensive either. But mostly being able to use it in the Summer part. I'm only looking at the 1911 because the Desert Eagle I hear isn't very good in airsoft guns. And the M9 I wouldn't mind usually but my friend owns an M9 and I'd feel like I'm copying him.

I can only find the plastic guns there. Don't they (shouldn't they) lock it up with the real guns since they're full metal?

Where do you find the full metal guns at Walmart? I would go for the Elite Force, As you've seen Hazard , Wire, and Walrus AND Mex1 suggested it. The Walmart one is okay. but the mags are HI-Capa's and from my Experience there not very reliable and there Beefy, witch i actually havent found a mag holster that fits them nicley yet.

Haha, Walmart's stuff is never reliable. I think I'll stick with the 1911 posted up near the top. It seems light-ish, good range, CO2, full metal, etc. etc. Scrappy, your not gonna be there tomorrow right?

Never buy airsoft anything from wal-mart, maybe except eye pro. Unless you like having to repurchase the same stuff every few weeks.

I really like the looks of it, but looks mean nothing compared to what's inside. I just finished raising money for it, and I was wondering if I can just shoot before game just to see if I like it or not? If not that's fine.
