The tittle is clear, so : I have see some people profil with TAC member and AOA member, that mean you have one forum for two teams or just two teams in one more big? Why and what is JTF208? I have seen threads about rules, you haven't the same rulebook for all airsoft in USA? In France for play airsoft you have to create an association (You can find lots offre team in an association, or no team, just people who play together) with a President, a Secretary and a Treasurer, and obtain the right for play on a private field, is the same for you? Do you practice more "Milsim" or "fun" airsoft games? In France, "Milsim" is airsoft playing with specials rules, as only Mid/real-cap magazine, spécial camo for teams, guns codes.. and more immersive gaming (playing 24hrs, 30hrs, 3-5days).. And "fun" is the type of gaming that you can play the sunday with friends, as capture the flag, search & destroy, death match, with no limits for magazines, equipment, camos or other.. I know you can start practice airsoft more young than french (18y, you can't buy an airsoft gun before), but what's your limit for start airsoft? Hope to write right and be understand

We have one "master" forum, we have our own rules. America doesn't really have set rules for everyone, so it's up to the communities to come up with rules. We play Mil-Sim ish scenarios but dont have restrictions on mags, gear, or camouflage. Although each team has their own camo. However we have FPS limits. I'd say we are closer to "fun" playing to your standards. We like to have an age limit of around 13 years old, but any under 16 have to bring a parent out with them. Hope I helped!

this is AOA's forum... TAC(changing name to DEF) is its guest.. JTF208 means joint task force and 208 is idahos area code in the phone number for example(this is my number btw) (208) 697 7924. and for the third... if im understanding this correctly we dont have a "private field" and Some games are milsim yes but most are fun ummm i dont know how old(im 14 but i perssonaly pay my parents to buy my stuff) but i think you have to be 18 to buy a airsoft gun from stores i could be wrong... but if you buy on here as long as the seller allows you can be of any age. and also quick note... DEF wont allow you to be a "full memeber" unless you have the camos... im not sure about AOA.

Okay I have read the rulebook for the fps Hazard That's the first thing that we do in France, we have not a french rulebook, but all use almost the same fps rules, with 0.20bbs 350fps for automatic, 400fps for semi-automatic AEG, 450fps for bolt. We are limited by the law, more than 467fps in 0.20bb = more than 2J (Joules) and your gun is a 7th Category weapon (air guns, .22LR rifles...) and you can't have one without a hunting or shooting liscense And an other law : If you have under 18 years old, you can't use a gun with a muzzle power upper than 0.07J (don't know how many it's in fps).. french laws --'

Ah, I see. Little different over here. We're a little more forgiving for FPS as well. Auto's at 400 with a .25.

Frenchie- JOINT TASK FOCE 208 is our community name. (JTF208) consists of AOA, TAC, DEF, and now PUNISHER. each team has its command structure. you will find out, we play all sorts of types of games/scenarios. each member of the community has a chance to play his/or hers scenario of they thought of. Sometimes we will do a simple game "or like you said "fun games" like capture some flags, secure an area for however long. or just have an team death match. as some would say it as not milsim its COD.. But we also think of some serious over the top scenarios that create milsim in our games. but to answer you question we strive for a milsim type scenario. they are better and more fun. expecially with a background story. our JTF208 community consists of about 30-50 average. i guess we have all ages of players, some old vets (with white hair) lol, curent military servicemen now, mid aged 27 year olds like me, just lookin for a hobby and younger high schoolers ages 15-and up. everybody is in to the sport. even younger players below 15 are alowed if they are accompanied by a guardian. you will enjoy the camaraderie, adrenaline and the fun of milsim airsoft. id say come out and play a game with us when you can, and you'll see first hand how we play i. lol . just read the rules. but we also have huge games/events that we as a community plan sometimes too. night games as well. so our milsim maybe not as a extreme as yours(midcaps only, 3 day games) but weve thought about doing a 24hr games.. we do like to create a background of the game and try to make it as realistic as possible (i.e. props). anybody can use high caps or midcaps. we have FPS rules based o .25g bbs we would like to hear some of your scenarios you used to play if you want to share any- we could try playing them. anyway welcome if you want to come out. i garauntee you will have fun.- Bird out p.s.- any questions just ask under the correct section or just pm me. thanks play with honor, integrity, and dont forget to watch out for bird shit

Bird you have 1337 posts... dont ruin it. Never post again..
On an unrelated note, when did Punisher split from AOA? Doesn't all these teams splits kinda defeat the purpose if they all play together in the end anyway? Like, if there's 4 now, why don't we do like DEF and Punisher for a game, or TAC and Punisher, mix it up a little? Or I'm completely wrong. Who knows, I clearly don't...

I think this can be a fun idea... mixing things up a lil... Or I guess you could say mexxing things up I don't think TAC exists anymore since Raptor took back his guys and Stryker hasn't shown up for a while. Basically each team has it's own leadership system, but everybody is part of the same community. We're all out there to have fun, but everyone has a bit of a competitive streak. We don't have to pay to play in most areas, we just have to clear it with the owner if it's privately owned. This forum is the community forum. There is (or used) to be another group call MAG, but I don't know what the deal is with them; someone else might. As for FPS limit; (based off of a .25) 400 for EAGs with fully automatic capabilities, aaaaand I don't remember the other ones And we do more fun games than Mil-Sim games. Some guys run like it's a Mil-Sim game, others show up with hi-caps and sneakers
